Our Story
The Gallatin Gateway Community Center is a creation of the Willing Workers Ladies' Aid - a group of dedicated, community-minded women who formed over a century ago as a volunteer community service organization. Today, the Center hosts everything from community meals and meetings to fundraisers and blood drives.
Our Start
The groundbreaking of the center was in the summer of 1992 and construction ended in late summer of 1994. Ladies Aid gals provided coffee break refreshments and a hearty lunch for the volunteers that showed up to work on Saturdays.
Construction Complete!
The entire project was done through volunteer labor, but the WWLA took out a construction loan to get the project finished and open for the community. The loan was paid within 5 years.
